Student Union Hall

University housing offers high-quality amenities at low cost, ranging from 2 to 3 million JPY per month. Occupancy is limited by the number of available spots and eligibility requirements; most contracts are valid for one year only.

Private Rental Housing

Most common housing type with a wide selection. Rent varies significantly by location and room size, ranging from 5 to 15 thousand yen.

  • A security deposit (1–3 months' rent) and key money (approximately ¥{20,000}) are required for your first stay.
  • Monthly utilities cost approximately 7000–9000 yen.
  • You must have a Japanese co-signer or sign through a guarantee company.

Homestay
