10 things to do before traveling abroad

Exchange your destination currency at a bank or foreign exchange counter before you depart. We recommend exchanging a small amount of cash for immediate expenses upon arrival, and transferring funds later via bank transfer. Please note the annual limit on foreign currency purchases per individual.

Purchase a local SIM card for your destination in advance, or activate international roaming. We recommend buying a prepaid SIM from a local carrier for immediate use upon arrival.

Purchase travel insurance as required by the destination country. Some countries mandate specific coverage; confirm your policy's effective date in advance.
